Stand Tall with God's Promise
Today with all of what culture is attempting to normalize we are called to stand tall, be on guard stand firm, be courageous and do everything with love.
So what does this mean? How do we manifest what it means to Stand Tall?
In the Bible, David as a little Shepherd boy provided an example of standing tall— as he stood taller than Goliath because of his courage and his faith to his belief.
We all strive to believe that we have that kind of courage but is courage protecting ourselves behind the wall of conformity? Are you wearing God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the enemy— we are not fighting against one another, but against evil, against the powers in this dark broken world.
Are you able to resist the enemy in the time of evil? Have you donned your shield of faith— standing together with one spirit one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News.
Many conversations as of late call us as Christians, to put on our armor, fight the battle, stand firm. The truth is under attack— all to often leading to difficult conversation or situations, yet again we are called to stand tall and conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of good deed.
The way to stand tall is to keep our eyes on Christ, to remember that this world is not our home and to focus on the fact that Christ will bring everything under his control.
Standing tall means steadfastly resisting the negative influences of temptation, false teaching, and persecution. It requires perseverance when we are challenged or opposed. Don’t lose heart or give up God’s promises to give us strength of character.
Today, in these moments, what will you Stand Tall for? How will you decide to show up, model by example and lead from the front?
